At Crazy Mountain Ventures, we strive to make our backcountry programs accessible to all young people.

Thanks to our generous donors, we can offer need-based scholarships to remove financial barriers for families.

Eligibility

• Need-based scholarships are available to any family with demonstrated financial need whose child meets the age and participation requirements for  CMV programs.
• Scholarships may be applied to Pathfinder Treks (3 days) or Voyager Treks (5 days).
• Scholarships are administered without regard to any characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.

How Scholarships are Awarded

• CMV uses a tiered sliding scale based on household size and annual gross income as a percentage of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), as published annually by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
• Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
• CMV does not guarantee a scholarship to every applicant.

How to Apply

• Families apply for financial aid by completing the CMV Scholarship Application, available below.
• Applications must be submitted at least three(3) weeks prior to the trek start date.
• If scholarship awarded covers part of the trek cost, all payment is subject to our normal payment process - a 30% deposit is required to secure your spot with the remainder due 3 weeks prior to the trek start date.
